Thank you so much for visiting our page. Let me introduce myself. I’m Cristy Perdue. I am an ordained minister, specifically in the Ephesians 4:11 five-fold office of teacher. I began teaching the Bible verse by verse in October 2021, and it is the greatest joy of my life. My dear ministry partners, Mother Earnie Beth Harris and Danielle Ward-Goyette, and I started Included in Christ ministry in December 2025. Our goal was simple: to create a community to come together online around Bible study and prayer. We have had an excellent time of it thus far, and look forward to many years and decades to come. My own heart is to teach this beautiful Scripture every Tuesday evening for the rest of my life, without fail.
My spouse and I live in Rockaway Beach, which is an absolutely beautiful neighborhood of New York City in the borough of Queens. We live right on the Atlantic Ocean and take advantage of swimming year-round, even in the cold. I am a medical doctor, a double board certified anesthesiologist. I practice full time in New York City.
I authored a book titled Included in Christ, as you may have noticed on the website. My wife and I were asked how we justify our relationship in light of the traditional Christian view of “one man, one woman.” The book, Included in Christ, thoroughly answers that question. We agree that the same-sex activity described in Scripture is condemned, and we also agree that “one man, one woman” is the rule. However, there are exceptions in Scripture. We hold to monogamy and faithfulness in lifelong Christ-centered covenant relationship. While Included in Christ is a gay affirming ministry, we do not typically emphasize this aspect of our ministry, as we are simply more interested in daily living according to the will of God through Christ Jesus and His Word. And we welcome everyone who would want to be in community with us.
In preparation for writing Included in Christ, I undertook a meticulous verse by verse study of Scripture over the course of two years. Based on the book and my preparation for it, I was invited to share teaching duties in a local church. I have taught a verse-by-verse zoom study for many years. As of now, I have covered the Gospel of John, 13 New Testament epistles, over half of the book of Revelation, and over half of the book of Genesis. (My former ministry partner and I shared teaching duties for Revelation and Genesis.) I am currently teaching the epistle of James.
In my personal studies over the last few years, the Lord has brought about a new revelation of soteriology (salvation) and glory and rewards in eternity, previously misunderstood by so many of us, and I believe, currently misunderstood by the majority of preachers and Christians in our world today.
A well-known pastor recently yelled into his microphone, “None of you will know if you’re really saved until you take your last breath.” While this particular preacher said what most preachers will not admit, this is the gospel of doubt that is erroneously yet ubiquitously preached all over this country. This is the false gospel of which Paul stated, “I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:31)
Years ago, after months of a longing in my heart to better understand God’s truth, the Lord gave me a word with His promise to answer that prayer over the following six months. What came from that time of study in the Scripture has been nothing less than profoundly life-changing. The reverberations from that revelation echo daily, as His Holy Spirit continues to reveal new truths in Scripture to this day.
And it’s actually nothing new at all. It is the plain teaching of Scripture. Unfortunately, many believers read the Bible through a lens, a perspective that suggests that one only makes it to the pearly gates if he has done enough good works and remained faithful until his last breath. With this new clarity in Scripture, I had the joy of reading a newly purchased Bible cover to cover, in the last six months. What a glorious and eye-opening exercise that has been, to re-read Scripture cover to cover, with new revelation and clarity around so many passages that just didn’t make complete sense under the old perspective!
I have had the freedom, calling, and joy to express these truths in multiple sermons and studies since the Lord opened up this revelation to me. Indeed, I have taught and preached the simplicity of the gospel message, both the freedom to enter into His family free of obligation or payment, as well as the freedom to practice righteousness, that is, to live the resurrection life in Christ.
I have several sermons from that series available via YouTube links on this site. I have many more to upload, including a sermon series on the epistle of Romans. We just concluded our study of the Gospel of John in 24 sessions. I think you’ll find it eye-opening and well worth your time. (Please take advantage of the freedom to play it at 1.5 or 2x speed.)
My prayer is that every person who visits Included in Christ would come away more confident in the finished work of Christ Jesus, more assured of the free gift of eternal life, and more stirred to walk worthy of the One Who included us in Himself and His eternal kingdom when we believed. The Lord be magnified!
